Get R.E.A.L. Community Program
Welcome to Get R.E.A.L. — Rock Eagle Adult Learning. Sessions are held on the 3rd Saturday of every other month and geared for adults (18 yrs and older).
Each Get R.E.A.L. session:
- begins at 10:00 a.m. (unless otherwise stated),
- meets at the Natural History Museum,
- lasts roughly two hours,
- includes a light snack,
- includes time to visit the Natural History Museum, and
- costs $10.00 per person.
Annual Program Pass available!
- $40.00/person
- Entrance into all 5 Get R.E.A.L. programs.

February 20th, Reptiles 101-Explore the wonderful world of reptiles with Rock Eagle staff! Learn how to identify common local critters and dispel those pesky myths. Start time: 10:00 am |

April 17th, Beekeeping Basics-Have you ever wanted to keep bees? Whether for pollination or for honey production, this session will show you the basic beekeeping equipment you will need to get started on this fun and rewarding hobby. If weather permits, the class will get the chance to explore the inside of an active beehive. Please come prepared for class by wearing a light colored long sleeve shirt, long pants, and closed-toed shoes. Start time 10:00 am |

June 19th, Canoe Rock Eagle Lake!-Explore Rock Eagle Lake by canoe!! See if you can sneak up on our local great blue heron or if you can catch a glimpse of the turtles basking on a log. Start time: 10:00 am |

August 21st, Effigies on Parade!-Join Rock Eagle history experts on an effigy tour! Visit Rock Eagle Mound and the Little Rock Eagle and discover your own theories on why they were built! Travel will be provided to the effigies. Start time: 9:30 am |

October 16th, Historical Cemetery Tours-Explore two very different historical cemeteries located adjacent to Rock Eagle property. Discover Georgia’s past by comparing and contrasting the physical and cultural characteristics of these two sites. Start time: 10:00 am |
